The All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to formally launch its national campaign council ahead of the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election, with the inauguration scheduled for Wednesday in Abuja.

According to APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the event will hold at the Kashim Shettima Hall of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre at 12 noon.
The campaign council will be headed by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, while Senate President Godswill Akpabio will serve as co-chairman. Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele has been appointed as the secretary of the council.

Morka explained that the council includes a wide range of political figures, including serving and former governors, key National Assembly leaders, and senior party officials.
He added that the council has been tasked with coordinating all campaign activities for the party as it prepares for the governorship election in Ekiti State.

To ensure effective operations, the APC has also established several sub-committees responsible for areas such as election planning, fundraising, grassroots mobilisation, logistics, protocol, media and publicity, security, as well as women’s and youth engagement.

According to him, these structures are aimed at strengthening the party’s outreach and organisation ahead of the poll.
He further noted that the inauguration marks the beginning of full-scale mobilisation across Ekiti State, with the party expressing confidence in its chances at the election.
