At least four people have lost their lives and 11 others have been kidnapped following a fresh wave of bandit attacks in communities across Southern Kaduna.
The attacks, which occurred between Saturday and Monday, targeted several villages in Kachia and Kajuru Local Government Areas, leaving residents in fear and prompting renewed concerns over security in the region.

In Kachia LGA, armed attackers invaded Mafofadiya and Zagom Mazuga communities, where one resident was killed and seven others were taken away by the gunmen during the assault.
Meanwhile, in Kajuru LGA, bandits struck Kallah and Kufana villages, killing multiple residents and abducting four people, including a pregnant woman and her children.

Residents said two victims were confirmed dead in Kallah, while another person was reportedly killed in Kufana. The identity of the victim in Kufana had not been officially established at the time of reporting.

The latest violence has intensified worries among community members, who say attacks, kidnappings, and killings continue to threaten rural settlements across Southern Kaduna.
Many residents expressed frustration over what they describe as persistent insecurity despite ongoing government efforts aimed at reducing violence through dialogue, reconciliation, and rehabilitation initiatives.

Community leaders and residents are calling for stronger security measures, increased protection for vulnerable communities, and decisive action against those responsible for the attacks.
