Senator Seriake Dickson has criticised supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi over what he described as persistent attacks and hostile comments directed at members of the opposition coalition.
Dickson stated that no individual or political group should act as though they are doing the coalition a favour by participating in its activities, stressing that the alliance is built on mutual interests and a shared commitment to national development.
The former Bayelsa State governor urged political actors and their supporters to embrace constructive engagement rather than divisive rhetoric that could undermine efforts to build a stronger opposition platform.
He maintained that respect, cooperation and tolerance among members remain essential for the success of any political coalition, warning that constant attacks and internal disagreements could weaken the group’s objectives ahead of future political contests.
Dickson also called on supporters across different political camps to focus on issues affecting Nigerians instead of engaging in unnecessary confrontations that could distract from broader national concerns.
