The African Union has congratulated the people and government of Somalia on the celebration of the country’s 66th Independence Day.
In a goodwill message, the continental body praised Somalia’s resilience, national pride, and progress over the years, describing the anniversary as an important milestone in the nation’s history.
The African Union also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Somalia’s ongoing efforts toward peace, stability, and state-building, while emphasizing the importance of Pan-African solidarity in advancing the country’s development and unity.
