Tributes have continued to pour in following the death of veteran Kaduna politician, Hon. Alhaji Kabiru Umar, who has been remembered as a respected statesman, nationalist, and advocate of democratic governance.

Kabiru Umar played a significant role in Kaduna State’s political landscape, serving as Chairman of the former Kaduna Local Government Council and later as a member of the House of Representatives during Nigeria’s Second Republic. He also served as the Kaduna State Chairman of the All Nigerian People’s Party (ANPP).

He was widely recognized for his integrity, humility, and dedication to strengthening democracy, while contributing to political stability and development in Kaduna State and across the country.
During his tenure as ANPP chairman in Kaduna, he was credited with strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and promoting justice, fairness, and good governance. He was also known for maintaining close relationships with both political leaders and ordinary citizens.

Many have described his passing as a significant loss to Kaduna State and Nigeria, noting that his contributions to the state’s political history will be remembered for years to come.
Condolences have been extended to his family, friends, and political associates, with prayers offered for Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
