The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the venue for the flag-off of its presidential campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party disclosed that the campaign launch would take place at its state secretariat, located at No. 1 Ilorin Road, Sokoto State, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
The announcement was made by Senator Ibrahim Lamido, the ADC Presidential Campaign Coordinator in Sokoto State, who said preparations were already underway, with party members and invited dignitaries expected to attend.

Lamido also disclosed that the party’s presidential candidate and former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, was expected to arrive at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto, at 9 am.
He urged party supporters and members of the public to gather at the airport to welcome Atiku before proceeding to the campaign venue.
The coordinator further called on party executives across the state’s 23 local government areas and wards, mobilisation coordinators, support groups, women’s organisations and youth groups to activate their structures and ensure strong participation.
The announcement comes after days of uncertainty over the location of the party’s inaugural presidential campaign rally. The ADC had initially withheld details of the venue, citing concerns over alleged intimidation and attempts to frustrate its political activities.

The controversy followed reports that the party’s governorship candidate in Sokoto State, Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan’iya, escaped unhurt after gunmen reportedly opened fire on his convoy near the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) denied allegations of involvement in the attack.
Tensions reportedly increased after an ADC campaign office was sealed, while the opposition party accused the Sokoto State Government of denying it access to a suitable venue for its campaign activities.
On Tuesday night, Atiku also accused the APC and the Department of State Services (DSS) of allegedly plotting to disrupt the party’s inaugural campaign.
The DSS, however, denied the allegation.
With the venue now officially announced, the ADC is proceeding with its presidential campaign flag-off in Sokoto as it intensifies mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
