ADELEKE TO WORKERS: MOBILISE EVERYONE TO VOTE THIS SATURDAY AND DEFEND YOUR VOTES

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has urged workers across the state to mobilise their relatives, informal workers, artisans and professional groups to participate in Saturday’s governorship election.

Adeleke, in a pre-election message, called on residents to exercise their constitutional right to vote and remain vigilant in protecting their votes throughout the electoral process.

The governor also described his administration as “workers-friendly,” urging voters to support what he called the gains recorded over the past three and a half years.

“The time for action has come. As formal workers at state establishments, I task you to mobilise informal workers, artisans and professional bodies,” Adeleke said.

He further appealed to the electorate to ensure that their votes count, stressing that the election should be conducted peacefully and that voters should defend their constitutional rights.

The state government has also declared Friday, August 14, 2026, a work-free day for public service workers, except those on emergency and essential duties, to allow workers who need to travel to prepare for Saturday’s poll.

The Osun governorship election is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.
