Air Peace has received its first brand-new Embraer E175 aircraft, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s ongoing fleet expansion and modernisation efforts.
The newly acquired 88-seat aircraft, registered as 5N-CGH, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Tuesday evening after a ferry flight from Brazil. It was officially handed over to Air Peace representatives by aircraft manufacturer Embraer following the completion of production.
The Embraer E175 is designed for short- and medium-haul flights and features a 2-2 seating arrangement, ensuring there are no middle seats. Passengers will also benefit from leather seats, extra legroom, larger overhead storage compartments, bigger windows and a quieter cabin designed to enhance travel comfort.
According to the airline, the aircraft offers greater fuel efficiency, lower carbon emissions and reduced noise levels, supporting its commitment to environmentally sustainable operations while maintaining high safety and reliability standards.
Air Peace spokesperson, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, described the delivery as an important step in the airline’s long-term growth strategy, noting that the investment reflects the company’s commitment to improving operational efficiency, expanding route connectivity and enhancing the passenger experience.
He explained that the Embraer E175 is well suited for domestic and regional operations, allowing the airline to improve flight schedules, increase service frequency and explore new routes while delivering greater comfort and reliability to travellers.
The airline added that the aircraft will support its growing network across Nigeria, West Africa, Central Africa and other international destinations, helping to meet increasing passenger demand while promoting regional integration, tourism and economic development.
Air Peace reaffirmed that the latest addition to its fleet strengthens its commitment to providing safe, reliable and affordable air transport while improving connectivity for passengers and businesses across its expanding route network.
