According to the state Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, the main purpose of the visit is the launch of the National Community Food Bank Programme for the South-East.

The programme is expected to provide support to vulnerable groups, including widows, elderly people, persons living with disabilities, nursing mothers and children, through the distribution of food items and nutrition education.

As part of her activities in the state, the First Lady is also expected to commission a new ICT Centre at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko.

The facility is designed to help reduce the digital gap and provide students in Anambra and other parts of the South-East with practical skills in areas such as software development, data analysis, digital marketing and remote work.

The state government described the visit as an important demonstration of cooperation between the Federal Government and Anambra State, while expressing its appreciation for the planned interventions.
