APC Suspends National Chairman, Ganduje

The National Chairman of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has faced suspension from his ward in Kano State. This decision was made by executive members of Ganduje’s ward, located in Dawakin Tofa local government area of Kano State. They announced the suspension on Monday, citing allegations of corruption against Ganduje.

Legal adviser of the ward in Ganduje, Haladu Gwanjo, addressed the media in the state capital, stating that the former Governor of Kano is accused of committing gross misconduct and misappropriation of public funds during his tenure. Gwanjo revealed that the suspension came after a vote of no confidence was passed on Ganduje due to his inability to clear his name from various corruption allegations, including a widely circulated video showing him allegedly receiving dollars as a bribe from a contractor.
