Suspected bandits, described as heavily armed terrorists, attacked Janjala Village in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State in the early hours of Monday, March 2, 2026.

The raid occurred around 12:30am when the assailants invaded the farming community, shooting and abducting an unspecified number of residents.
Security expert Zagazola Makama confirmed the incident, citing local sources.

Two residents, Yusuf Abdulwahab and Idris Ahmed, reported the attack at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Kagarko and brought along a 25-year-old victim, Shamsu Adamu, who sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The injured victim was immediately rushed to the General Hospital in Kagarko for medical treatment.

Following the report, a joint security team — comprising police operatives, other security agencies, and local vigilante groups — was mobilised to the scene.
The surrounding bushes were combed in an effort to rescue the kidnapped victims and apprehend the perpetrators.
As of the time of this report, operations to secure the release of those abducted and arrest the attackers were still ongoing.
