Eighteen first-term governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, are holding a closed-door meeting at the Kebbi State Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

The gathering brings together governors from several APC-controlled states, including Kaduna, Plateau, Ekiti, Delta, Zamfara, Kano, Jigawa, Ebonyi, Edo, Ondo, Kogi, Sokoto and Benue.
The governors were welcomed by Governor Nasir Idris and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, on arrival at the Government House.

The meeting is expected to address key national matters as well as issues affecting the ruling APC. Discussions are likely to focus on strengthening cooperation among state governments, advancing the party’s development agenda and identifying practical measures to improve governance across the country.

Participants are also expected to deliberate on strategies for promoting sustainable economic growth, fostering national unity and pursuing policies aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerians.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum is expected to brief journalists on the major decisions and outcomes of the deliberations.
