#Breaking! 2023 Gubernatorial Elections On Hold As Court Of Appeal Declined INEC’s Application To Reconfigure BVAS For Guber Elections.

Headlinenews.news correspondents report from the Court Of Appeal confirms that INEC’s Application To Reconfigure the BVAS was declined this morning.

Recall that INEC’s need to reconfigure the BVAS is to enable the equipment function for the Guber Elections in a few days.

The Court held that until and unless the Labour Party and People’s Democratic Party have been able to access and obtain all relevant documentation and data they require, INEC must not touch the BVAS or IREV.

This according to our correspondents means the Guber Elections may not hold this Saturday as scheduled by INEC.

The National Patriots Coordinator interviewed regarding this development observed that the Court of Appeal ought to have given a timeline under which the PDP and LP should have completed their inspection. One week at least. It is not clear if INEC is the Party to grant access to electoral materials inspection or the Petition tribunal, in which case, the inspection may not be immediate.

“The Presidential Election Tribunal should be established soon in order to arrange for INEC to provide the relevant documents, data for inspection.  INEC doesn’t have the authority to give political parties access to documents, data directly or the integrity of the information may be compromised. ”

However, Nigerians are waiting eagerly for INEC’s Decision. The Guber Elections Would surely be rescheduled for one to two weeks possibly.
