No, intra-bank transfers between customers of the same bank in Nigeria are exempt from the cybersecurity levy and do not attract bank charges. This includes transfers between accounts held at different banks but under the same name.
Other transactions that are exempt from the cybersecurity levy include: Loan disbursements and repayments and Salary payments.
The new charge is effective from Monday 20th of May.
