However, Babangida’s media consultant, Deyemi Saka, dismissed the report as baseless and the result of unfounded speculations with malicious intent. Saka emphasized that Babangida, a staunch advocate for democracy, would use proper channels rather than social media if he had concerns, urging the public to disregard the allegations. Saka also called for authorities to investigate and take action against media outlets spreading such misinformation for the sake of national security and stability.
