#Breaking: Gunmen Strike in Abuja, Kidnap Two Landlords, Seek N20m Ransom

In the Asokoro extension area of the Federal Capital Territory, two landlords were reportedly kidnapped by suspected gunmen. The armed assailants executed the abduction on Sunday, contacting the families of the victims shortly afterward, demanding a ransom of N20 million for their release.

According to sources, the attackers pointed a gun at one of the landlords who was sleeping outside due to the heat. Using him to gain entry, they were dissatisfied with his residence and compelled him to guide them to another house in the vicinity. There, they successfully kidnapped the second landlord.

A resident, identified as James, shared details of the incident, mentioning that the kidnappers contacted both families, demanding N10 million from each. Despite one family proposing to pay N2 million immediately, the kidnappers rejected the offer, threatening harm if the full N10 million was not paid.

Efforts to obtain a statement from the FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting. The Asokoro Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Mohammed Seidu, acknowledged the incident and noted ongoing efforts in response.
