There was a mild drama today at kaduna governorship election tribunal when the counsels of people Democratic party (PDP) and it’s gubernatorial candidate Hon Isah Ashiru kudan attempted to submit a fresh request in the name of exhibit and evidence of rigging and over -voting against the incumbent governor Senator Uba Sani failed to scale through, because it was objected by INEC and governor Uba Sani’s lawyers which was still latert rejected by the judges at the instance of the Veteran Facebook journalist Mallam Mustapha Yamusa Rigasa while Hon Isah Ashiru kudan and other PDP’s chieftains and supporters were also there.
The reason of the objection and rejection was because the application which was said to be carrying alot of evidence of election rigging and over voting is characterized by full errors,but the PDP counsels were given about two hours grace and break to go and correct the error and come back.
But after the two hours break, the PDP still come back and requested for the adjournment of the case to after sallah after failing to submit a single exhibit or prove of rigging against governor Uba Sani, which everybody present at the court room including the lawyers bursted into the laugh which causes a little disruption of the proceeding for about two minutes and 13 seconds when some spectators in the court room began side talks among themselves concerning the unpreparedness of PDP and it’s gubernatorial candidate.
But Shortly after PDP’s requested for the adjournment, the judge consulted with his two colleagues before reading the approval of the PDP request to adjourn the case to after sallah.
In conclusion, the judge read and said, upon the request of the petitioner ( Isah Ashiru kudan) counsels, the court is hereby adjourned the case to 4th July 2023.
