#Breaking News:National Social Investment Programme Faces Suspension by President Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has temporarily suspended all programs managed by the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA). This action is taken amid an ongoing investigation into alleged misconduct in the agency’s management and its various programs.

The suspended programs, including the N-Power Programme, Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme, and Home Grown School Feeding Programme, will be on hold for an initial period of six weeks.

President Tinubu expressed significant concerns about operational deficiencies and irregularities related to payments to program beneficiaries. Consequently, he has established a ministerial panel to thoroughly review the agency’s operations, aiming to recommend essential reforms for NSIPA.

Throughout this suspension period, all NSIPA-related activities, such as distributions, events, payments, collaborations, and registrations, are temporarily halted.

The President reassures stakeholders and the Nigerian public that his administration is dedicated to a prompt and impartial process. The goal is to ensure that social intervention programs, moving forward, operate precisely as intended, benefiting the most vulnerable individuals in Nigeria.
