Scores of suspected political thugs have disrupted the coalition of results of the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2024 governorship election in Edo State.
The presence of the state Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adeboye, who was present with the officials of the party at the centre did not deter the hoodlums from engaging in the free-for-all.
At the time of filling this report, it was not yet clear what went wrong.
Before then, results from eight out of the council areas have been announced but the winner of the exercise is yet to be declared for the September 21, 2024 governorship election in Edo State.
Some members of the APC who earlier spoke with Channels Television at one of the voting centres in Ward 2, Oredo Local Government Area described the exercise as largely peaceful.
