President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of 26 individuals to serve on the boards and management teams of 10 federal government agencies and commissions, with the appointments taking immediate effect.
Among those appointed is former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, who will serve as Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). He will lead the agency’s board alongside Ahmadu Abubakar and Ilyasu Makinta, who were appointed as members and non-executive directors.
The President also inaugurated the board of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC), naming Abdullahi Saidu as Chairman. Other members of the board include Mohammed Asmau, Mohammed Makama, Suleiman Gidado, Louis Ndukwe, Amaechi Ugwele, and Olaniyi Onikola.
In another appointment, Shuni Dahiru was named Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education (NMEC), replacing Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu, who had earlier been reassigned to the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).
President Tinubu also appointed Gisaor Iorja as the Executive Director of Finance at the Federal Housing Authority (FHA). Iorja, an economist and the current Secretary of the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC), takes over from Mathias Byuan, who stepped down to pursue his governorship ambition in Benue State.
