The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Fatai Adams, passed away early on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
The party’s state Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kennedy Peretei, confirmed the news, assuring that official communication would be provided to the media shortly.
While Late Adams had faced suspension by the State Working Committee in January 2024 for alleged anti-party activities, the National Working Committee of the party rejected the suspension, deeming it inconsistent with the party’s constitution and rules. PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, declared the purported suspension null and void in a statement from January 2024, emphasizing its lack of effect.
These developments unfold amid preparations for party primaries leading up to the November governorship election.
