Residents of Ekpoma in Edo State have been left in shock following the killing of a well-known businessman, Justice Oshioke, popularly known as JuseWayne, just hours before his child’s dedication ceremony.
Oshioke, who was the CEO of a fast-food business, Principle Takeout, was reportedly shot dead on Saturday night by suspected kidnappers while returning home.
According to reports, the attack happened around the Idumebo area of Ekpoma when the assailants allegedly attempted to abduct him. He was said to have resisted the attempt.
An eyewitness account revealed that the attackers tried to forcefully take him into a nearby bush, but he struggled against them before being shot.
He was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead. The tragic incident occurred just a day before the scheduled dedication ceremony of his newborn child, plunging family members and residents into deep mourning.
The Edo State Police Command confirmed the incident, describing it as a heartbreaking and violent attack, and stated that investigations are ongoing.
