#COP 28: NIGERIAN PROJECT SET TO STEAL THE SHOW – THE EDEN SOLAR ECOCITY (Video).

As Nigeria prepares to showcase one of the most outstanding projects for Cop 28, The Eden Solar EcoCity, President Bola Tinubu meets King Charles of England in Dubai for the summit.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP 28, held in the United Arab Emirates, is a Conference of Parties, an annual meeting of countries that are part of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), aimed at accelerating climate progress to fast-track energy transition and reduce emissions.

COP 28 will focus on three main pillars: industrial decarbonization, accelerating the just green energy transition, and innovation for climate action. Nigeria’s Eden Solar EcoCity effectively represents the second and third pillars – ‘Just Green Energy Transition’ and ‘Innovation for Climate Action.’

The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference is set to prioritize nature, people, lives, and livelihoods in climate action, with the most inclusive COP ever, defining what the Eden Solar EcoCity represents holistically, which is to be constructed by the Eden Costruzioni Consortium.

The focus of COP 28 includes addressing emission mitigation targets, phasing out fossil fuels, encouraging financial support from developed nations, highlighting industry-led solutions, low-carbon innovation differences between developed and developing nations, progress on the Paris Agreement, and reforming the role of private sector investment.

Nigeria, as one of the most populous nations in Africa, has demonstrated goodwill in addressing climate change ideals with the establishment of the National Council for Climate Change. This council has been central to ensuring climate change and clean energy initiatives in various economic sectors to reduce greenhouse emissions.

The Nigerian Oil and gas sector has initiated stringent measures, including reducing gas flaring by awarding licenses to firms and imposing penalties on oil companies. The present administration is committed to reducing emissions, promoting solutions for alternative energy, low-carbon innovation, and commendable efforts to address environmental degradation.

However, leaders, especially from India, emphasize that climate finance and climate technology are crucial segments of the global effort to address climate change effectively. Developing countries will need substantial funding support to meet renewable energy targets.

The Eden Solar EcoCity Project, conceptualized and developed by Dr. G. Amiida Fraser, MFR, of Fraser Consulting Consortium and designed by an International Award Architect in Nigeria (Pieach), a member of the Consortium, is the prototype of a project encapsulating the ideals of climate change, renewable energy, clean energy, and eco-friendly values to prioritize nature, people, lives, and livelihoods in climate action.

The Eden Solar EcoCity Project addresses emission mitigation targets and phases out fossil fuels in an innovative strategic manner to promote a healthy environmentally friendly lifestyle for the community.

The Eden Solar EcoCity is designed to offer accommodation and a new eco-friendly lifestyle to Persons of Concern (PCOs), including deportees, returnees, migrants, refugees, and internally displaced persons. It comprises well-ventilated architecturally designed houses, a health center with diagnostic services, a stadium, Mosque, Church, shops, market, and a 10-hectare farm incorporating ranching and poultry. The farm is drip-irrigated for year-round cultivation, reducing dependence on rainfall.

The farm waste is used by a biogas conversion plant to provide cooking gas for the entire community. Clean water is available, along with an educational center for young community members, digital skills, vocational skills learning sections, a daycare center, and a playground for children. Green areas and parks for recreation are integrated into the EcoCity.

Special features include remote digital e-security for real-time surveillance, perimeter fencing with sensors, solar-powered street lights, free WIFI, and a 10KW wind farm for alternative standby energy. The city is powered by a 250KW Solar mini-grid, 150 cubic meters of Biogas plant and storage, and a 180,000-liter overhead tank of water with biotech water treatment.

The Eden Solar EcoCity is a unique blend of modern services, digital innovation, creativity with an African theme, and ingeniously designed homes. It is being tipped for an award from COP 28 organizers, representing an original concept worthy of admiration from Nigeria.

Many people interviewed on the Eden Solar EcoCity Project have expressed a desire to live in such a city. They commend the vision of Dr. Fraser MFR, a Nigerian capturing the vision of the Global Energy Alliance for People & Planet (GEAPP) in Nigeria. She is committed to jumpstarting a green energy revolution in Nigeria, facilitating progress for both people and the planet.

We advocate the establishment of The Eden Solar EcoCity in every state of Nigeria to significantly reduce emissions and phase out fossil fuel with 100% solar energy and biogas. According to Dr Fraser, the Eden Solar EcoCity promotes the well-being of humanity and offers solutions that can reverse the climate crisis if adopted and funded by international donors, which is to be constructed by the Eden Costruzioni Consortium.

Nigerian refugees, migrants, and internally displaced persons will present the Eden Solar EcoCity at the Dubai COP 28 event in collaboration with Fraser Consulting Consortium for consideration. They emphasize the need for funding support for developing nations to transition to a higher percentage of clean energy services, supporting the development of green energy corridors and an improved grid infrastructure.

The G20 New Delhi Leaders Declaration underscored about $5.9 trillion in pre-2023 for developing countries to meet the net-zero target. The COP 28 summit will include a ‘global stocktake’ to track progress in keeping global warming below 1.5°C and adopting strategies to close the gap.

Each developing country must take significant steps, supported by developed nations, to reduce emissions before the next COP 29 conference. Unfortunately, India, recording the highest global greenhouse emissions due to methane from agricultural activities, is unable to reduce its ‘survival emissions’ due to its emissions per unit of GDP position.

Oil & Gas emissions, considered ‘luxury emissions,’ should be reduced. COP 28 promises to be an exciting event, and Nigeria has impressed many with its Eden Solar EcoCity Project. Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is expected to support the actualization of the Eden Solar EcoCity as a possibility to provide nationwide renewable energy solutions in Nigeria. The HFC of the NCFRMI and CEO of Fraser Consulting Consortium will be available to showcase the award-winning marvel Nigeria has designed.

Nigerians Reacts:

Wow!!!!! I didn’t expect Nigeria to come up with such a project! I am impressed. We have great talent in this country only the government doesn’t encourage development. I find it hard to believe that this was conceived and developed in Nigeria. Kudos to Dr. Fraser and Fraser Consulting Consortium. Kudos to the architect Pieach. This project deserves an award. I pray they succeed with a grant and do the project nationwide. We need it. I won’t mind living in such a community. It will be healthy. Those POCs are lucky Oooo. We have IDPs in Cross River state. Please help them too not just North. All good things are going to the North.

James Effiong. Banker.

This is a milestone for Nigeria. If this administration adopts this project, it will be a proof that the government is genuinely determined to take giant steps in reducing emissions targets and fossil fuels. This is a fantastic project.

It’s awesome! This woman is a gem. So much talent. Nigeria needs to showcase talented Nigerians. I have to give three gbosas to the Eden Solar EcoCity Project team. You have made Nigeria proud. I hope the UN conference donors give a substantial grant to construct this all over the country, not just IDP camps. So, the project is being constructed by Eden Costruzioni Consortium. That’s a good company. The design of the houses are an engineering marvel. No ceiling, air vents etc.

Please give these people more awards. Headlinenews.news has done well to give an award.
I am proud to be a Nigerian.

Mr. President, press buttons for grants for this project to trigger Climate change values in Nigeria.

Mr President, now you can stand tall in Dubai like other Nations because Nigeria has come up with the ideal project to promote Climate change values in the country. Show them we are working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and we are innovative about it. I am sure no country in Africa or anywhere in the world that has designed such a well conceived, well balanced, integrated project to protect the environment with these solutions provided by the Eden Solar EcoCity. Please show them. Tell them Nigerians are working and have ideas. Come back with good grants.
Good luck.

Prof. Tunji Adeyemi.

My own salutations is for the Refugees Commission for giving the opportunity to such talent to be showcased from Nigeria. You are a dynamic visionary leader. You deserve to be supported by government. Keep up the good work. Make sure this project is implemented please. Congratulations for the Eden Solar EcoCity.
