COURT ABSENCE DEEPENS LEGAL WOES OF ALLEGED FAKE PFIPC DG IN FORGERY CASE

The planned arraignment of Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the Director-General of the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), was stalled after he failed to appear before the court.

Adeyemi is expected to face trial before Justice Mohammed Umar on an eight-count charge bordering on alleged forgery, fraud and impersonation in a case filed as FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025.

When the matter was called, the defendant was absent despite the case appearing as number 12 on the court’s cause list for the day.

The prosecution, led by the Inspector General of Police, is reportedly considering applying for a bench warrant to secure Adeyemi’s arrest due to his failure to appear in court.

Court records show that the charges against Adeyemi and two other defendants were filed on November 27, 2025, by police prosecutor Wisdom Madaki.

Several witnesses are expected to testify during the trial, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, alongside Paul Emmanuel, Jeremiah Imoukhede and Ituah Sylvester.

Also listed as witnesses are officials from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF), Akimbo Shola and Adamu Balongu, as well as a Deputy Superintendent of Police.

Further updates are expected as the case progresses.
