# Deadline for Presidential Aircraft Auction Bidders Set for December 24th

The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) has set a deadline of December 24 for prospective bidders interested in acquiring the Falcon 900B aircraft, a significant member of the presidential air fleet that the NAF has put up for sale. This decision was formally announced on Monday, with details about the bidding process conveyed through a flyer shared on the official NAF X page.

In compliance with the Public Procurement Act of 2007 and with the approval of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the NAF is inviting all interested parties to submit bids for the purchase of the Falcon 900B aircraft. The bids can be submitted through email or physical means, each with specific instructions outlined in the announcement.

For those opting for email submissions, interested buyers are instructed to send password-protected bids to a designated mailing address, with the password forwarded separately to another. On the other hand, for those choosing physical submission, quotations must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the interested company/entity, along with a clear description and reference to the request. Importantly, the envelope is to be marked with the statement, ‘DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 24 DECEMBER 2023.’

The decision to sell the Falcon 900B aircraft has sparked notable interest and speculation within political and aviation circles. Many are questioning the motives behind this decision and are contemplating the potential impact on the presidential air fleet. This move by the NAF has significant implications, and stakeholders are keen to understand the rationale and consequences associated with this decision. The deadline of December 24 adds a sense of urgency, making it imperative for potential buyers to finalize their bids within the stipulated timeframe.
