The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has dismissed reports claiming that he has resigned from office, describing the information as false and misleading.
General Musa made the clarification while speaking with State House correspondents after meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
He stated that he has neither considered nor discussed stepping down from his position, stressing that the reports are completely untrue.
According to the minister, the rumours are being spread by individuals who are unhappy with the progress being recorded in the fight against insecurity across the country.
He urged the public to disregard the claims, maintaining that he remains fully committed to carrying out his responsibilities as Minister of Defence.
