The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has congratulated Senators Ifeanyi Okowa, Ede Dafinone, and Joel-Onowakpo Thomas following their victories in the party’s senatorial primaries across Delta North, Delta Central, and Delta South.
The party also praised all aspirants, leaders, and members for what it described as their maturity and commitment to the democratic process during the exercise.
In a statement issued by the APC State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the party said the outcomes reflected the will of its members and reaffirmed its commitment to internal democracy.
The party noted that the primaries were conducted peacefully and in line with APC guidelines as well as provisions of the Electoral Act 2026, stressing that the process was transparent and properly supervised by the designated election committee.
It further explained that the electoral committee followed due procedure in announcing results, ensuring compliance with all relevant party rules governing the selection of candidates.
The Delta APC urged members and stakeholders to remain united and work together ahead of future elections, emphasizing that collective effort would be crucial for electoral success.
The party also encouraged participation in remaining primary elections, assuring members of a fair and credible process that reflects the wishes of party stakeholders.
