At least 13 people were killed and 28 others kidnapped during a violent bandit raid on a wedding ceremony in Southern Kaduna. The incident occurred on Sunday in the villages of Kukyer and Kahir, located in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Residents said the attackers stormed the celebration and opened fire on guests, causing panic and chaos. Community members are now calling on security agencies to step in urgently to prevent further bloodshed.

Those confirmed dead include: Douglas John, Ado Yakubu, Maikano Aribi, John Dan Asabe, Williams Luka, Bako Danjuma, Joseph Yakubu, Victor Peter, Peter Williams, Dogara Markus, Francis Amadu, Zephaniah Alhaji, and one unidentified victim.

Several others were injured, including Micah Tanko, Fidelis Awuh, Samson Alhaji, Habila Bulus, Colonius Dauda, Lina Samaila, Bello Alkali, Felix Erick, Francis Tanko, and Doctor Solomon.

Meanwhile, 28 people were abducted, including Tanko Makeri, Jummai Victor, Tanko Madaki, Beauty Marshal, Mariya Dominic, Awede Tanko, Patience Bitrus, Thadious Augustine, Salome Danladi, Ephraim Monday, Kande Monday, Lucky Monday, Lidiya Benjamin, Gambo Benjamin, Najirgi Yakubu, Danladi Kagarko, Daniel Shehu, Talatu Ibrahim, Dauda Markus, Peace Waziri, Tanko Waziri, Promise Waziri, Asami Dauda, Awuh Adams, Bulus Sunday, Chibi Emmanuel, Peace Luka, and one unidentified victim.
The attack has heightened fear among locals, prompting urgent calls for a stronger and sustained security presence to safeguard the community.
