Weatherford has secured a new deepwater completions contract from ExxonMobil for offshore operations in Nigeria, according to a statement released by the US oilfield services company.

The agreement was awarded by ExxonMobil’s subsidiary, Esso Exploration & Production Nigeria, although the financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Under the deal, Weatherford will deliver integrated upper and lower completions services for deepwater wells, strengthening its involvement in offshore oilfield operations in the region.

ExxonMobil, through its subsidiaries, currently operates five deepwater blocks in Nigeria and has also proposed significant investments estimated at over $24 billion in two long-delayed deepwater projects within the country.
This latest contract adds to a series of recent international deals secured by Weatherford, particularly across the Americas. The company recently announced multiple agreements, including managed pressure drilling services for Noble Corporation in Guyana, supporting ExxonMobil’s offshore activities there.

Weatherford also confirmed additional contracts with Constellation Oil Services for well intervention and drilling work offshore Brazil, as well as a separate agreement with Venture Offshore for services on the SSV Victoria semi-submersible rig.

The developments highlight the company’s expanding footprint in global offshore drilling and energy services across key oil-producing regions.
