The Federal Government, through the Police Service Commission (PSC), has announced the list of candidates shortlisted for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables.
The announcement follows the completion of a nationwide recruitment exercise, which the commission described as transparent, fair and inclusive.
The recruitment process was carried out in partnership with relevant agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counseling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee.
Candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination have been advised to check their application status through the official recruitment portal beginning from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
According to the commission, successful applicants will also receive confirmation through the email addresses and phone numbers they provided during registration.
Those selected will later be informed of the dates and venues for medical screening and documentation at their assigned police training institutions.
The commission cautioned that candidates who fail to report within the specified period will be considered to have forfeited the opportunity.
It also stated that any applicant who does not pass the medical examination conducted by the Police Medical Team upon resumption will be declared medically unfit and removed from the training programme.
Successful candidates are expected to report with their training call-up slips, National Identification Number (NIN) slips, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slips, original and photocopies of their academic certificates, along with other required documents listed on the recruitment portal.
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (Rtd), appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables to strengthen the country’s security system.
He encouraged the successful applicants to regard the opportunity as a chance to serve Nigeria with professionalism, integrity and dedication while contributing to the safety and security of the nation.
