The Federal Government has expressed concern over the surging price of cement and will not stand idly by.
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has called for an urgent meeting on Monday with cement manufacturers, including Dangote Plc, BUA Plc, Larfarge, and others, to address the escalating cost despite substantial patronage.
The meeting, scheduled at the Federal Ministry of Works in Mabushi-Abuja, aims to examine the challenges faced by manufacturers and explore solutions to the significant gap between ex-factory and market prices, as stated by the Minister.
