#General Dayo Olukoju (Rtd) a National Patriot honoured With Technology Management Award by OAU for African Institute of Science.

Today, history was made as Obafemi Awolowo University stood still for our illustrious Major General (Rtd) Dayo Olukoju as he was given a special award on Technology Management by the Vice-Chancellor of OAU on behalf of African Institute for Science Policy and Innovation.

The National Patriots Congratulates a Patriot for another feather added to his cap in recognition of his skills & achievement in technology management by the African Institute of Science. This is an honour well deserved and we are proud to celebrate such an iconic Patriot. We wish him the very best and hope he would utilise his skills, talent and capabilities to ensure the actualisation of a renewed hope for Nigerians by God’s grace. Amen. Congratulations.
Princess Dr Adebajo-Fraser MFR, Founder the National Patriots.

I hope the Tinubu administration shall make good use of the Major Generals who were retired due to the appointment of the Service Chiefs. Most Presidents do not bother to ensure these casualties are considered for other active posts and services outside the military where their skills and talents could be valuable for sustainable development. It is unfortunate, because their careers were prematurely truncated and they no longer have any future with the Army for which they had Sworn to serve all their working life. I therefore appeal to the President to kindly consider those who are qualified and found worthy of serving in other sectors of the economy outside the Nigerian Army.
As a Democrat who is committed to the people and who is known for his humanitarian values, Mr President ought to set the pace for a new way of drafting retired officers for service outside the Nigerian Army.
May I also request the new CDS to refine his system of approach as the letter calling for the resignation of the Officers affected by the appointment of the Service Chiefs was not appropriate. A circular inviting them for a meeting would have been apt and they would have been requested to hand in their resignation letter there and then. That would be more dignified and accord them the self respect they deserve after the meritorious service to the Nation. The CDS should please note this for future communications and strategy.
