Government Responses to Citizens’ Concerns
Question: Nigerians are hungry.
Response: We hear your concerns. Hunger is unacceptable. While reforms have been difficult, we are expanding food production, reducing food inflation, strengthening social protection and working with states to ensure that relief reaches vulnerable households. No government should be indifferent to the suffering of its people.
Question: The economy is crushing ordinary families.
Response: We acknowledge the hardship many Nigerians are facing. Economic reforms often have short-term costs, but our responsibility is to minimise that burden. We remain committed to stabilising prices, creating jobs, supporting small businesses and ensuring that the benefits of reform are felt in every home.
Question: There are concerns about public confidence in INEC.
Response: Public confidence in our electoral institutions is essential to democracy. We will continue to support INEC’s constitutional independence while encouraging greater transparency, continuous improvements and reforms that strengthen the credibility of future elections.
Question: Will the 2027 election provide a level playing field?
Response: Every Nigerian deserves an election that is free, fair, peaceful and credible. Our administration has no interest in undermining democracy. We are committed to ensuring that all political parties and candidates compete under the same rules and that the will of the people prevails.

Question: Nigerians are asking whether government is listening.
Response: We are listening. Constructive criticism strengthens democracy. We welcome the views of religious leaders, civil society, traditional institutions, the media and ordinary citizens because responsive leadership requires constant engagement with the people we serve.
Question: What message should government send to Nigerians at this difficult time?
Response: We understand your sacrifices and we do not take your patience for granted. Our commitment is to work tirelessly until every Nigerian begins to experience the tangible benefits of economic reforms through improved security, lower inflation, better infrastructure, quality education, affordable healthcare and greater economic opportunities.
