TAKE YE AWAY THE STONE

“Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.”

John 11:39-45 KJV

Brethren, standing in a cemetery,  Jesus issued a command, “Take ye away the stone.” There was no singing at the funeral Jesus attended.  Mourning.  Weeping.  Wailing.  People shuffled about aimlessly, their eyes full of fear.  The foreboding news reminded them of their own fate.  Another prisoner had been marched from death row to the gallows.  Lazarus was dead.

Beloved, Jesus wept, not for the dead but for the living.  He wept not for the one in the cave of death but for those in the cave of fear.  He wept for those who, though alive, were dead.  He wept for those who, though free, were prisoners, held captive by their fear of death.

Stones have never stood in God’s way.  They did not in Bethany two thousand years ago.  And stones do not stand in His way this blessed day of the Lord.  He called Lazarus out of the grave of death.  And He calls us out of the grave of fear. Shalom.

Just as the grave could not hold Jesus captive, every power of death, hell, grave and coffin, detaining your destiny, marriage, career, health, and finances, loose it’s hold and vomit you back with all your glory in Jesus name Amen.

By the power that roll stone away from the sepulcher of Jesus, every stumbling blocks of darkness fashion against your breakthrough be roll away by the finger of the Lord, in Jesus name Amen.

I pray that the Lord will arise and all the enemies of your advancement be scatter unto desolation without repentance in Jesus name Amen.
