A young pastor has been rescued by passersby after he reportedly collapsed while preaching by the roadside, in an incident that has gone viral on social media.
In the video making the rounds online, the unidentified preacher was seen lying weak on the ground shortly after delivering a sermon. Eyewitnesses said he appeared visibly exhausted and disoriented before suddenly collapsing.
Concerned members of the public quickly rushed to his aid. At first, some of them assumed he might have been fasting, but it soon became clear he was in distress. They helped him sit up and offered him water in an attempt to revive him.
“We thought he was fasting and had not eaten,” one bystander said in the video. “He just needs food.”
As his condition remained weak, the group eventually decided to take him to a nearby eatery where he could get something to eat and recover his strength.
The incident has since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing concern for the pastor’s health while also praising the kindness of the strangers who stopped to help him.
Although his identity and exact condition have not been confirmed, the moment has been widely shared as a reminder of both the physical strain some street preachers endure and the compassion that can still be found in everyday encounters.
