Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening support for security agencies and improving the welfare of personnel deployed to combat insecurity across the state.
The governor made the pledge on Thursday during the weekly State Security Council meeting held at the Government House in Gusau, where top security officials reviewed the security situation and discussed measures to enhance operations in troubled communities.
During the meeting, Lawal assured security commanders that his government would continue providing the necessary assistance to boost the effectiveness of troops and ensure their welfare while carrying out their duties.
He stressed that safeguarding the lives and property of residents remains one of the administration’s highest priorities, adding that every effort would be made to equip security agencies with the support needed to tackle the state’s security challenges.
The council also examined strategies to strengthen troop deployment and improve rapid response to security threats in vulnerable areas across Zamfara.
Governor Lawal further reaffirmed his readiness to maintain close collaboration with security agencies, assuring them that his administration would remain accessible and committed to initiatives aimed at restoring lasting peace and stability in the state.
