#IPMAN President Foresees Potential Fuel Price Reduction with Port Harcourt Refinery Operations.

The National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Abubakar Maigandi, anticipates a possible decrease in petrol pump prices as the Port Harcourt refinery gears up for operation. Maigandi conveyed this outlook during a meeting with Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), emphasizing the readiness of IPMAN members to commence loading once operations commence at the refinery.

Maigandi highlighted the proximity advantage for marketers in the South-South region, expressing optimism that the refinery’s operation would lead to improved availability of fuel and potentially trigger a reduction in prices, albeit marginal. He also underscored the positive impact of refinery operations on job creation, welcoming the development as beneficial for Nigerians, especially if product distribution commences within the promised timeframe.

The statement underscores IPMAN’s readiness to adapt to changing market dynamics and signals potential relief for consumers if the refinery’s output influences the fuel pricing landscape.Breaking news HeadlineHeadline news
