Iranian authorities have organised large-scale public wedding ceremonies in Tehran for couples who reportedly registered under a state-backed programme encouraging readiness to support the country during its ongoing tensions with the United States and Israel.

The events, held across several major squares in the capital, featured hundreds of couples, with more than 100 reportedly married at Imam Hossein Square alone. The ceremonies were broadcast on state television as part of efforts to boost public morale during a period of heightened regional tension.

Participants were said to have enrolled in a government-linked initiative that encourages citizens to demonstrate willingness to defend the country in various forms, including symbolic commitments of sacrifice. Iranian media reports claim millions of people have signed up, including senior political figures.

The weddings were conducted on public stages decorated with national and religious symbols, with clerics presiding over the ceremonies while crowds gathered to witness the events. Some participants described the occasion as both a religious celebration and a show of solidarity amid wartime conditions.

Officials have continued to organise public mobilisations and gatherings since the escalation of conflict, presenting them as demonstrations of unity and national resilience.
