The events, held across several major squares in the capital, featured hundreds of couples, with more than 100 reportedly married at Imam Hossein Square alone. The ceremonies were broadcast on state television as part of efforts to boost public morale during a period of heightened regional tension.
Participants were said to have enrolled in a government-linked initiative that encourages citizens to demonstrate willingness to defend the country in various forms, including symbolic commitments of sacrifice.
