According to the testimony, the bank submitted account opening documents and statements relating to Alkausar Farm after receiving a request from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The documents were subsequently admitted as evidence by the court.

While reviewing the account records, the witness highlighted multiple transactions involving substantial deposits and transfers over a period of time. The account reportedly received several cash deposits and transfers from different individuals and companies, including a series of high-value transactions recorded in 2018 and 2020.

The witness also informed the court that significant sums were transferred from the account to various corporate entities during the period under review. Details of the transactions were presented as part of the prosecution’s effort to establish the movement of funds connected to the case.

During cross-examination, the bank official stated that financial institutions are required to monitor suspicious transactions and report them to the relevant financial intelligence authorities whenever necessary.

The EFCC is prosecuting the defendants on multiple counts relating to alleged conspiracy, concealment, and laundering of funds said to be proceeds of unlawful activities.

Following the proceedings, the court adjourned the matter until July 17, 2026, for the continuation of trial.
