A Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of special investigations at Panti, Lagos State, named Gbolahan Olugbemi, has tragically taken his own life. The late officer, who previously served as an aide de camp to the late Adebayo Alao Akala, a former governor of Oyo State, was reportedly back home for Easter when the incident occurred, according to The Street Journal. His body was discovered in his residence on Monday afternoon, but it remains unclear who found him. Olugbemi resided alone on Petros Academy Street in the Federal Lowcost area in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, and it is uncertain whether he was married. The police have sealed off the area, while onlookers were seen discussing the situation in hushed tones. “Sometimes he returned home with police security. I actually saw him driving into his beautiful mansion not too long ago,” a source revealed.
