Fans and lovers of Nollywood actor, John Okafor better known as Mr Ibu are sending prayers his way as he marks his birthday in the hospital.

The veteran had turned 62 on Tuesday and had celebrated his birthday with his wife and kids on the hospital bed.

His daughter, Jasmine Okafor had shared a heartbreaking video of him on a hospital bed with a cake and pack of juices in front of him as he sat up in pain to rejoice with them.

She expressed how heartbroken she was to see him celebrating what was supposed to be a joyous day for him, in the hospital. She revealed that the veteran has been fighting a good fight for the last two weeks and is still standing tall.

Jasmine added that her greatest desire for him is to see him healthy and back on his feet.

“Happy birthday Daddy @realmribu! It breaks my heart that we are celebrating you today from the Hospital bed. My greatest wish today is that God crowns you with Divine healing, good health, and many more happy years. These last two weeks, you have fought a good fight and you are still standing tall. We are here for you! Victory assured. Speedy recovery papa”.

Last year, the veteran was admitted to a hospital in Abuja.

His wife, Stella Marris made the news known as she cried out for help and prayers.

The veteran was later readmitted on his anniversary day and was alleged to have suffered from food poisoning.

Speaking out on his hospitalization, Mr Ibu said he was poisoned for the third time in about three years, and claimed his enemies were after his living.

He disclosed in an interview, that he was poisoned in Abuja at an entertainment event l, but he couldn’t explain how it all happened.

Following his recovery, Mr Ibu had challenged his colleagues in the movie industry

He admonished his colleagues to celebrate him while he is alive and not when he is dead.

The video of his wife present at his birthday party has left many assured that all was well between the couple.

Kemi Filani reported during the weekend that Stella Maris had left many concerned after she posted a video of herself profusely crying as she sang to her God.

In her caption, while greeting her fans, she stated that the video is her current situation.
