Headlinenews correspondent in Plateau reports the Protest March led by Prophet Isa Ek- Buba to the INEC Office in Plateau State. Nigerians react that its unbecoming for a man of God to descend to this level and engage himself publicly in a political issue. Many have reacted negatively and called on CAN to call their Pastors to order.
Headlinenews observed that most especially in Northern Nigeria, Men of God, Pastors and CAN are interfering publicly, writing letters to endorse political candidates.
The National Patriots appealed to religious leaders in the Country to desist from such acts which may further divide the country along religious lines as we all remain one indivisible Nation, brothers & sisters irrespective of our religious orientation. Furthermore, this action is unacceptable in a secular State like Nigeria. Whipping up Religious Sentiments into our Political campaign is detrimental to the unity of the Country. – National Patriots.
