Former Kano State deputy governor Nasir Gawuna has reportedly rejected approaches from the All Progressives Congress (APC) despite the party’s renewed efforts to bring him back into its fold ahead of the 2027 elections.
Gawuna, who contested the 2023 Kano governorship election on the APC platform, is said to have maintained his position despite attempts by party leaders to persuade him to return.
The development comes amid growing political realignments in Kano as major parties begin positioning themselves for the 2027 elections.
