According to the statement, the association operates across Kano State’s 44 local government areas, 484 wards and numerous polling units, making it one of the party’s largest grassroots mobilisation groups.

During the meeting, Governor Yusuf said President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 would help sustain the administration’s economic reforms and ongoing infrastructure development across the country.

He noted that strengthening grassroots political structures would enhance the party’s support base and improve its chances of winning the presidential, governorship and other elective positions in the next general elections.

To support the association’s activities, the governor announced the donation of plots of land and ₦100 million to assist its mobilisation efforts.

He also stressed the importance of engaging supporters at the polling unit level, describing grassroots participation as key to achieving electoral success in 2027.

Governor Yusuf’s Political Adviser, Mustapha Bakwana, described the engagement as the beginning of the party’s grassroots mobilisation strategy ahead of the elections. He expressed confidence that the Polling Unit Supporters Association has the capacity to mobilise more than one million votes for President Tinubu during the next presidential poll.

Speaking on behalf of the association, its leader, Najib Salati, appreciated the governor for involving members in government through appointments at both state and local government levels. He reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the party’s success in the 2027 elections.

The Kano State APC Chairman, Umar Doguwa, also expressed optimism that the party would secure a convincing victory, noting that its support base continues to grow as preparations for the elections intensify.
