LAMINE YAMAL, PEDRO PORRO SIT OUT SPAIN TRAINING AHEAD OF ARGENTINA FINAL

Spain have been handed a minor injury concern ahead of Sunday’s FIFA World Cup final against Argentina, with winger Lamine Yamal and defender Pedro Porro training away from the main squad on Thursday.

The two players are recovering from injuries sustained during Spain’s hard-fought semi-final victory over France.

Reports indicate that Porro is nursing a hamstring strain, while Yamal is recovering from an ankle knock suffered after an awkward landing late in the match. The young forward was also seen wearing a bandage on his left thigh.

Despite the setback, the Royal Spanish Football Federation is confident that both players will return to full training on Friday as a precautionary recovery plan continues.

The individual sessions took place at the New York Red Bulls’ training complex in New Jersey, while the remaining 24 members of the squad completed training without any reported issues.

Spain manager Luis de la Fuente is expected to have an almost fully fit squad available as his team completes preparations for the World Cup final against Argentina.
