#Mali Beat Nigeria 2-0 In International Friendly

On Tuesday night, the Eagles of Mali secured a 2-0 victory over the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Nigeria faced defeat as Mali netted a goal in each half of the game. E. Toure opened the scoring for Mali in the 18th minute, and despite Nigeria’s efforts, they couldn’t equalize before halftime. K. Doumbia sealed the win for Mali with an 84th-minute strike from the center of the box.

This defeat marked interim coach George Finidi’s first loss since taking charge after Jose Peseiro’s contract expired. Finidi had previously celebrated victory in his debut game against the Black Stars of Ghana in a friendly match last Friday. Despite Ghana’s 2-1 loss to Nigeria in the international friendly, head coach Otto Addo remarked that the Black Stars were unfortunate against the Super Eagles.
