Spain swept the major individual honours at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after lifting the championship, with midfielder Rodri crowned the tournament’s best player.
Rodri played a key role throughout Spain’s successful campaign, featuring in all eight matches and leading the team’s midfield as they secured their second World Cup title. Spain also set a tournament record by becoming the first World Cup-winning side to concede only one goal throughout the competition.
France forward Kylian Mbappe claimed the Golden Boot after finishing as the tournament’s highest scorer with 10 goals in eight appearances, despite his country’s defeat in the third-place playoff.
Spain goalkeeper Unai Simón received the Golden Glove award after keeping seven clean sheets in eight matches, while Spanish defender Pau Cubarsi was named the FIFA Best Young Player for his outstanding performances during the tournament.
