It could have been a national disaster this morning on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos. A fully loaded BRT bus, with passengers standing, was heading from the mainland to the island when it swayed and veered towards the deep lagoon. Miraculously, the iron rail pierced through the engine, forcing it to a stop and pushing the bus back onto the bridge. Over 60 lives were at risk of being lost under the sea bed. I witnessed one of the greatest miracles today. Allahu Akbar.
