It was reported that the candlelight procession and tribute night for the late Nigerian music singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad at the Leki Toll Gate in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, turned bloody on Thursday night, September 21, 2023.
Online news platform understands that a ye to be identified person has been shot at the ongoing Mohbad candlelight procession in Lekki. It is, however, unclear if the shot was fired by men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) who had earlier dispersed music fans at the event.
In a video published on the micro-blogging site, X formerly known as Twitter, the person who was shot could be seen on the back of another music fan who was rushing to get the injured person treated. The person was shot in the right leg.

According to reports, the rapper sadly passed away from an ear infection. Sources from the singer’s team told the news platform that he took a trip to the hospital in the early hours of Tuesday, September 12, for treatment, after which he was administered an injection..
Before his death on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Mohbad accused his boss Naira Marley, and the Marlian record label of being after his life.

Days after his death, his friend, Bella Shmurda in a rant posted on the micro-blogging site, X formerly known as Twitter, noted that Sam Larry and all members of Naira Marley’s record label must be arrested.
Today, Thursday, September 21, 2023, the Lagos State Police Command announced that Mohbad’s corpse had been exhumed and an autopsy carried out to ascertain the cause of Mohbad death.
