The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 35-year-old woman, Chidinma Chinenye Agbazue, after she was caught attempting to export 20 parcels of cannabis sativa weighing 10.70 kilograms concealed in African salad, popularly known as Abacha, and dried vegetables to Doha, Qatar, through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja, Lagos State. This information was disclosed in a statement by Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, on Sunday.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Chidinma, who is based in Qatar, had returned to Nigeria last December for Christmas celebrations. They were found in possession of 842,560 pills of opioids, particularly tramadol, as well as 15 liters of codeine syrup and 596 grams of Molly. NDLEA reported that Okeke attempted to bribe officers with N5 million cash, which was rejected, and the money was documented as part of the exhibits for prosecuting the suspects in court.
